The position is strategic, it is near the “Avellino Ovest” exit of the Naples-Bari motorway, so it is a good starting point to visit Campania. Time passes very quickly because there are many activities for the guests. The cottage has been renovated recently. Everything, beginning from the entrance, is cared for with the utmost care. The interior is in a country style but not folk, the rooms are essential and equipped with all the comforts. There is an elegant lounge where you can chat, a wide restaurant room with a fireplace and outdoors a wood burning oven and a fine patio where you can spend summer evenings with friends. Everywhere there is nature, a lot of shade and absolute silence. Restaurant: Open all year. It is necessary to book. Seats: 40 in the room. It is also possible to equip the area outdoors for banquets. The cuisine is the typical one from Irpinia, vegetables prevail above all in the starters: broad bean or bean soups, savoury doughnuts with mint, pumpkin flowers and rosemary, potato or artichoke timbales, zucchinis in vinegar and boat-shaped aubergines. The homemade salamis and dairies are of high quality, taste the cheese cream with nuts and mint and the ricotta with pesto. There is the inevitable delicious savoury country cake made with ricotta or with vegetables. Regarding the first courses there is a triumph of fresh homemade pasta like pappardelle with Porcini mushrooms and chickpeas with tomato sauce, noodles with chickpeas and ricotta and trofie with beans and pork lard. There are ravioli with ricotta and aubergines with fresh tomato sauce, cavatelli with broccoli and sausage and fusilli from Avellino with fresh cherry tomatoes and sausage. Regarding the main dishes meat prevails: there is the classic mixed grilled meat, rabbit with sage, mint and rosemary, the leg of pork with Aglianico wine sauce, the grilled genuine chicken and the lamb with roasted potatoes. Homemade desserts and liqueurs make the proposal even more complete. There is also a good selection of DOCG and DOC wines from Irpinia. The farm is certified by Bioagricoop and is composed of 23 hectares. It produces hazelnuts, chestnuts, nuts, oil, apples, pears and vegetables.
