Laura Spartivento with the pizza maker Antonio Via Aldo Moro, 17/21 This pizzeria was opened six years ago near the Giffoni Valle Piana Film Festival area. The owner is Laura Spartivento. The ambiance is simple and youthful. Laura prepares the starters, the vegetables and the desserts, manages the room and the kitchen and, above all, makes pizzas with the cooperation of the young Antonio. She is energetic and has a great passion for homemade dishes made with the products of the season.
Blue Moon, the “Magheritona” The menu includes 50 kinds of pizza. There are the classic ones and the “Margheritona” with buffalo mozzarella (produced by the Taverna Penta dairy) and many versions without tomato sauce, with “fiordilatte” cheese: with potatoes, “provola” cheese and bacon; with artichokes and green olives; with sausage, peppers and rosemary; with hazelnuts and gorgonzola; with pumpkin flowers; with broccoli and fresh sausage; with zucchini and Porcini mushrooms. The dough is well leavened, isn’t crisp and gives you a pleasant sense of freshness. Taste the one with wholemeal flour.
Wholemeal flour pizza with pumpkin flowers They use vegetables and greens of the season to make different kinds of pizza and appetizers which can be a vegetarian dinner. Regarding the starters you will find boat-shaped aubergines stuffed with ricotta, a delicious and light aubergine gratin, a bread savoury cake with cheese and mushrooms, omelettes, escarole with anchovies and olives from Gaeta, aubergine rolls stuffed with ricotta and pesto and served with tomato sauce, potato savory cake and pears with gorgonzola cheese coated with bread crumbs and baked. Instead of bread you will enjoy croutons rich in fresh cherry tomatoes. On Fridays in winter they propose many tasty recipes with dried cod.
Blue Moon, the delicious aubergine gratin Jole and Bruna serve the guests quickly and friendly. You will find some good beers whereas the wine list should be enriched. You can finish your meal with a dessert like a slice of fruit tart, a pudding or a tiramisu. You will roughly spend 15 Euros.
