It is difficult to understand until you leave the view of the sea and the valleys and you turn your look towards the rocky mountains wrapping you in a Dolomite atmosphere. As soon as you enter you will see the animal cages for the joy of children and gourmets. Then there is a cosy room, it is elegant and very cared for according to the Arabian-Coast style also if a fine wall stove reminds us of the cold winter wind which gave the name to this town: terra furoris. The rooms, equipped with all the comforts, are sober and elegant, the bathrooms are furnished with ceramic tiles from Vietri. You can walk from the restaurant outdoors as far as the Sant’Alfonso church, it has just been renovated, and then the paths leads you up to a look-out where you can enjoy the panorama, read a book, lie in the sun or embrace the loved one. Restaurant Open all year, you have to book Seats: 36 and 40 seats outdoors Genuine starters prepared with typical salamis and cheese, homemade vegetables are enhanced by the delicious cherry tomatoes from Furore, extra virgin olive oil and wild aromatic herbs like rocket, oregano, thyme, mint, lemon balm, capers and marjoram. The first courses are homemade fresh pasta like pappardelle, perciatielli, straccetti, fusilli and tagliolini seasoned with typical sauces and vegetables of the season. Almost all the main dishes are mixed meat grilled on the old barbecue, there is also game, chickens, rabbits and ducks accompanied by aromatized salads, legumes, potatoes and savoury doughnuts with herbs. For breakfast and after lunch they serve homemade desserts which are the result of old and traditional recipes like cakes made with nuts, apples, pears and dried fruit, fresh fruit tarts, lemon and orange cakes and the “caprese” cake. Another home tradition is the one of liqueurs and citrus fruit and herb infusions. The farm produces Falanghina, Piedirosso and Aglianico wines: we are in the DOC Amalfi Coast area and you will be served the wine produced on the farm. There is also fruit (I point out the “pennata” pears, they are apple-shaped and particularly appreciated by those who love biodiversity) and vegetables, they breed farmyard animals, produce purées and many kinds of infusions, food preserved in oil, pickles and fruit with anise.
